Lovely Day by Sandy

Sandy made this beautiful layout using this month’s featured line, Lovely Day by Dear Lizzy. She started with a black and white photo booth strip from Chuck E Cheese. Then she created all these yummy layers with a few papers from Lovely Day (the bottom of this post shows all the papers she used). In addition to stacking the papers to create layers, she also stitched on her bottom layers and tore one of her papers to create even more dimension. You can tell how much fun Sandy has making her layouts.

Sandy added her final touches with the embellishment pack “fine little day” brad. Then some stickers tucked into the top from the 6X12 sticker sheet and the chipboard phrase stickers. She added some acrylic and rubber words from her stash for her title and added the journaling underneath. She placed a few enamel shapes from her stash that matched perfectly with this line to finish it off. Don’t you just love the colors in this layout? You don’t have to use the “traditional” colors of a specific place or theme on your layouts at all. Use the colors you love and it will make your process so much more fun!

Lovely Day with Odessa

This super-fun layout by Odessa shows how you can use a lot of color and still have a cohesive layout! One of the best ways to achieve this is to use products from one line, like Odessa did with the Dear Lizzy Lovely Day Collection. You can also choose a color scheme and mix and match you products. However, using one line will save you a lot of time since you know it’s already made to match for you!

Odessa talks about her color choices on her blog here!

The pink, yellow and mint from this line reinforce the fun colors of the photos on this layout. The gorgeous pink donut from above, the yummy-looking yellow popsicle and the mint in the outfit below really pulls all of this together!

Odessa used lots of puffy stickers and die cut ephemera from the collection. The brads are from the embellishment pack here. The hooray flag is a perfect touch for this card right?

She uses lots of papers from the collection to back her photos and journal pockets. Such a great way to show off the beautiful paper from the line!

The whole layout just flow doesn’t it? I LOVE the “mermaid hair, don’t care” on this card. How cool is this color?!? These alpha thickers are from the line too!

Odessa put a little flip through of her process on her YouTube channel (which I also embedded below). For more fun, colorful inspiration from Odessa visit her blog or follow her on Instagram!

Braver Than You Think by Simone

I can’t get over how in love with this layout I am! Simone used Lovely Day to create this STUNNING page. Read more of her take on this on her blog.

This background paper is my personal favorite from the whole line. Stamping this quote made a perfect title/journal combo. She used alpha stamps from Elle’s Studio. Can you believe how perfect she got her stamping? She needs to do a tutorial on just this for sure!

Simone has reignited the trend of fussy cutting your photos! Her last few layouts have been with a fussy-cut photo and the feedback she’s gotten has been amazing. If Simone has inspired you to fussy cut, please share your layouts in the Facebook Group!

Simone cut a strip of houses from this paper and adhered them to the bottom of the layout. With the combination of this background paper, it reminds me of a sunrise over a tiny town. The little puffy sticker birds in the tree and the hot air balloons in the background add to the real-life feel of this layout.

Simone reminded me to get myself in the scrapbooks, even if I don’t have a lot to say. Using a quote that you love or one that describes you can be enough. Don’t think people aren’t going to want to see you because they will! Find some photos of yourself to use or take some new ones. Your family will be SO glad you did!

You can find Simone here on her blog or watch some of her process videos on her YouTube (she also has on unboxing video of this line on her channel). She is very active on Instagram too!
